Trip Highlights

Customize Your Groups Trip

Quito (1 night)

Fly from your home to Quito, Ecuador. We'll arrange a transfer to your hotel for the night. The group returns to the airport the next morning to fly to the islands.

San Cristobal Island (3 nights)

You will land in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, a coastal town and the administrative capital of the islands. You will visit Loberia Beach, the perfect sandy spot to observe sea lions and green turtles in their natural habitat. They play, nap and sometimes, they pose for pictures, and sometimes play with you!

The group will visit the national park interpretive center to learn about the unique history, ecology and geology of this incredible archipelago. Behind the center, you will walk up Tijeretas or Frigatebird Hill, a beautiful lookout over Charles Darwin Bay and learn about this landscape. The highlight of this island is Kicker Rock, one of the best snorkeling spots in the archipelago. You’ll be on the lookout for sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, chocolate chip starfish, and with any luck, a Galapagos shark (they are not interested in you).

The final day on the island includes a visit to the highlands

Santa Cruz Island (2 nights)

The group will take a ferry to Santa Cruz, where you will visit a tortoise rehabilitation center in the highlands to see tortoises in their natural habitat. The other activity this day is Las Grietas, a walk through a cactus forest to a fun place to swim.

The second day includes a kayaking trip on Tortuga Bay and a visit to one of the island's most beautiful beaches. There you can often see marine iguanas, tortoises, birds, reef sharks, and more. The day also includes a visit the famous Charles Darwin Research Station to learn about their work to protect tortoises and other wild animals and see the Darwin's finches. The facility raises several species of tortoise to release into the wild.
