Trip Highlights

Customize Your Groups Trip

Quito (1 night)

Fly from your home to Quito, Ecuador. We'll arrange a transfer to your hotel for the night. The group returns to the airport the next morning to fly to the islands.

San Cristobal Island (2 nights)

You will land in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, a coastal town and the administrative capital of the islands. You will visit Loberia Beach, the perfect sandy spot to observe sea lions and green turtles in their natural habitat. They play, nap and sometimes, they pose for pictures, and sometimes play with you!

The group will visit the national park interpretive center to learn about the unique history, ecology and geology of this incredible archipelago. Behind the center, you will walk up Tijeretas or Frigatebird Hill, a beautiful lookout over Charles Darwin Bay and learn about this landscape.

The highlight of this island is Kicker Rock, one of the best snorkeling spots in the archipelago. You’ll be on the lookout for sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, chocolate chip starfish, and with any luck, a Galapagos shark (they are not interested in you). That will be followed by a beach cleanup with a local scout group to help clean up turtle habitat and make new friends.

Santa Cruz Island (2 nights)

The group will take a ferry to Santa Cruz, where you will visit a ranch in the highlands to see wild tortoises in their natural habitat. The other activity this day is Las Grietas, a walk through a cactus forest to a fun place to swim. Here, you will also visit the famous Charles Darwin Research Station to learn about their work to protect tortoises and other wild animals and see the Darwin's finches.

Isabela Island (3 nights)

Take a ferry to the largest island of the archipelago. Isabela offers unique experiences including a hike to one of the world's largest craters, snorkeling to see turtles and many other animals, and a wetland walk. This island also includes a visit to Campo Duro, an organic farm where you can participate in a volunteer activity. The highlight is Tuneles, an otherworldly landscape and incredible places to snorkel with turtles and potentially see penguins.
