Educator Travel

EcoTeach offers discounted tours for educators to Costa Rica and Peru. Our educator tours are the perfect balance of  hands-on conservation work, field study,cultural exchange and fun and adventure. Our educator tours often qualify for travel grants, clock hours and/or continuing education credit.

Whether you’re looking to join other like-minded teachers on an educational tour or want an opportunity to preview the trip for your students, this is the perfect travel experience for you.   On our Costa Rica and Peru trips, you’ll participate in a community-based conservation effort, experience rich biodiversity and work side by side with local researchers and community members.

Costa Rica Trip for Educators: July 21-29, 2012, $1295/land

Work with local community members on a sea turtle project, learn about the rainforest firsthand as you interact with scientists at Veragua Rainforest Adventure and Research Park, hike through Arenal Volcano National Park  and stay at Ecolodge San Luis for more biological diversity and zip lining!

Amazon Rainforest Expedition for Educators: June 29 – July 8, 2012, $1950/land

Stay at Explorama Lodge in the heart of the Amazon and have the opportunity to go birding in an area with 600+ species of birds. Participate in rainforest walks, visit culture and craft fairs, travel by boat down the Amazon watching for wildlife, tour a botanical garden and spend a day at the Amazon Conservatory of Tropical Studies.
