Costa Rica Service Learning Trips

Caribbean Sea Turtle Volunteer Service Trip: 8 day/7 night, $1295 land, free leader with 10
Spend several nights at a remote sea turtle project patrolling the beach in search of nesting leatherbacks and hatchlings. At the end of the week relax on a white sand beach then fly through the air on a canopy zipline tour as you head back towards the city and home. This trip is only available March through mid-July.

Osa Sea Turtle Service Expedition: 8 day/7 night, $1295 land, free leader with 10
Spend several nights at sea turtle project on the wild and pristine Osa Peninsula. Assist scientists with in-water monitoring and tagging of turtles, and participant in reforestation and mangrove clean-up efforts. At the end of the week relax for a night at a beach resort, then fly through the air on a canopy zipline tour as you head back towards the city and home.

Highland Community Service Expedition: 8 day/7 night, $1295 land, free leader with 10
Spend several nights in the highlands of Costa Rica. Immerse yourself in the life of the community as you participate with community members in a local service project such as constructing simple “smokeless” stoves for migrant coffee workers, building composting toilets, or helping out on an organic coffee coop. At the end of the trip, head to the pacific ocean and spend some time relaxing on the beach and fly through the air on a canopy zipline tour as you head back towards the city and home.

Arenal School Service Project: 8 day/7 night, $1295 land, free leader with 10
Spend a week on town of La Fortuna at the base of the spectacular Arenal volcano. Stay on the beautiful grounds of Don Juan’s Organic Farm. During your stay here participate in various projects at a nearby elementary school. You will also have time to explore the farm, the nearby town, walk on lava beds in the Volcano National Park, fly through the forest canopy on ziplines, and relax in hot springs!

Asis Wildlife Rescue Center: 8 day/7 night, $1350 land, free leader with 10
Spend several nights in the small town of Javillos volunteering at Asis Wildlife Rescue Center volunteering with rescued animals, from monkeys to peccarys, kinkajous, macaws and more! You will also have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture as you live with a local family.  Then head for a night to the town of La Fortuna at the base of the spectacular Arenal volcano. Stay on the beautiful grounds of Don Juan’s Organic Farm, fly through the forest canopy on ziplines, explore the farm, and relax in hot springs!
