We offer several tour dates for individuals and families that would like to travel in a group. Participants on these mixed family excursions often find that their companions and newfound friendships are one of the trip’s highlights. Ocean Conservancy SEE Turtle Expedition: Highlights include patrolling for sea turtles on 3 different beaches, visiting remote corners of the country to meet inspiring conservationists, wildlife viewing including (hopefully!) dolphins, monkeys, sloth, caimans, toucans, snakes, and of course sea turtles, and adventurous activities such as whitewater rafting, ziplining, snorkeling. This trip is for adults only.
Ecological & Cultural Discovery: For ages 8 and above! Highlights include patrolling beaches for nesting or hatching sea turtles as a volunteer at a Sea Turtle Project, learning about rural Costa Rica life first hand as you spend the night with a farm family, rafting down the Sarapiqui river, exploring an organic farm full of surprises, and flying through the cloud forest on ziplines.
Ecological & Cultural Discovery for Adults: Highlights include patrolling beaches for nesting or hatching sea turtles as a volunteer at a Sea Turtle Project, spending a day at a remote indigenous community high in the Talamanca mountains, swimming in the warm sea water of Cahuita National Park, rafting down the Sarapiqui river, flying through the rainforest on ziplines. touring an organic farm full of surprises, and, with a bit of luck, seeing red hot lava flow down the sides of an active volcano.
