Jami Armstrong
Jami discovered international travel in high school through her German Studies. Since 1996 she has lived and traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, and Central America. Somewhere along this journey she paired her travel with service and social justice.
The past decade she has primarily worked in the non-profit world, with various populations and in places such as Denver, Washington DC, the remote Cascades of Washington State and most recently, Guatemala. She spent most of 2008 in Guatemala as a human rights volunteer and was then able to travel throughout Central America. Among her stops was Parismina, Costa Rica, where she caught the eggs of a green sea turtle and developed a lifelong connection to this amazing creature as well as Costa Rica.
Jami has a B.A. in psychology and German from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and an MSW with an international focus from the University of Denver.
