Trip Information

Travel Insurance

 Insurance Overview: EcoTeach purchases a travel insurance policy from Travel Insured for every traveler. This is included in the cost of the trip, and covers things such as travel delay, emergency medical, emergency evacuation, delayed or damaged baggage. Cancellation coverage and Trip Interruption coverage are NOT included but are available at an additional cost. Please contact Deb at 800-626-8992 x12 or deb@ecoteach.com if you have questions.

Description of Coverage. The policy included with the trip cost is a "$0 Trip Cost" policy and does NOT include trip cancellation and interruption coverage.

  • Registration Form: use this to sign up for your trip.
  • Participant Information Form: fill out this form and return to EcoTeach or access your record online and enter or edit your personal information there.
  • Cancellation Form: if you need to cancel, please fill this out and return it to EcoTeach. You will remain an active participant until this form is received.

Payment Due Dates

All payments can be paid directly to EcoTeach via check or credit card. Checks should be payable to "EcoTeach" and mailed to EcoTeach, PO Box 604, Poulsbo, WA 98370. Please put the traveler's name and group name in the memo section.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Passports/Documentation

A passport is required to enter Costa Rica. For US citizens, no visa is needed but the passport must be valid for 30 days after the day you arrive. Citizens of other countries should check with the Costa Rican Embassy to determine entry requirements. US Citizens can go to U.S. Department of State for passport and travel information.

Immunizations

No immunizations are required to enter Costa Rica, however the Center for Disease Control does have several recommendations. We strongly encourage you consult your doctor or a travel clinic with questions on immunizations as EcoTeach does not provide medical advice.

Flights

You can purchase flights going into San Jose, Costa Rica (airport code SJO) arriving anytime on July 21, and departing anytime on July 29.
